The idea of Benn being the protagonist of a reality TV style home renovation video complete with "insert generic chord progression with woah vocals" background music is amusing

I have a theory that all successful YouTube channels eventually become home improvement channels. I don't hate it though. Thanks Benn!

As someone who became a homeowner just three short years ago and having to discover and learn all of the skill sets that come with maintaining, renovating, and improving owned infrastructure, I commend you for even getting this video out! I’ve had to fall in love with learning about plumbing, electrical, gas, and even IT/IoT as my wife and I renovated a complete gut job into our dream home… going much deeper than I ever imagined I would into those specialties has brought some invaluable insights into how I conduct myself, my own business, and even my day job!

When you said you bought a “Rab” desk, my soul died a little and I had a good guess about the outcome. I had a sidecar from them through Sweetwater that also arrived damaged and slowly fell apart and delaminated over the single year I owned it. Can’t believe they’re still in business! Went with a Jam Racks desk and never looked back! Love the channel and your new studio!

crazy how benn went from a 300 sq. ft. apartment in new mexico to owning warner music over the span of four days

No idea why people use gaming chairs. Higher end mesh office are a million times better.

I need a “farming with Benn” video as you do a morning of chicken maintenance and then show us how you make your eggs. And then baked goods and such.

Desk Suggestion: Get an Uplift powered sit-stand desk (the system without the top starts at like $400 and can be upgraded from there) and then just build whatever surfaces ontop of that that you want. Ultra strong, and powered height adjustable

I appreciate the section on HVAC. I started working in Commercial HVAC 3 years ago. I have seen and installed many types of systems ranging from YMCAs, Hospitals, Schools, State funded apartment complexes, factories, and conditioned storage units, but as someone who is interested in audio and music production i havent had the pleasure of learning about systems more suitable for recording studios.

Hi Benn. This is such a validating video. I took a leap of faith on a farm house in 2021 and it's still very much a work in progress. This 28 minutes of content has taught me so much about how I could have spent my own $100k to get closer to what I wanted in the beginning. So much stumbling becomes so much more stumbling when you spread out the work over many years and things get deprioritized because life gets in the way. And now I have... basically none of the things you show off here. I mean, I have a house, and there's technically a spot to make music in it, but zero of the power conditioning, sound conditioning, etc. idk what point I'm trying to make here but if we meet some day I'm going to give you a good hand shake. I think you've displayed a lot of focus here.

Your transparency on all things in the audio world is why I love this channel. And congrats on the new place!

I wish SOOO MUCH you would release like 1.5h+ full version of this whole renovation project :) I’m sure you still have a lot of footage and it’s really interesting :)
Please🙏🏻👏🏻

You might have gone over your budget but man is the studio really cool. I hope you can get many years of enjoyment out of it.

I recently upgraded my desk! I was considering the RAB brand but ended up choosing the Platform desk by Output/De-Fi. I've only had it a few days, but I really like it so far. The packaging was damaged on the outside, but there was a sufficient amount of packing material to protect the actual desk components. It's also actual wood (Baltic Birch plywood), not particle board or MDF.

No I'm not on their payroll, I just really like the desk and noticed it'd solve a fair number of your complaints with the RAB desk. Also, the measurements listed on their store are accurate

I had a Kali LP8, downsized to the LP6 and I LOVE them. Kali is so underrated and makes incredible stuff

I was honestly estimating more in the range of $200k, impressive

I switched to Kali monitors a couple years ago and have been amazed with them! WS12 with a pair of IN-5 💪

Awesome vid as always!

Sweetwater reps will call you every night during dinner when you don’t have orders to be your friend. When something goes wrong they’re all in Cancun

I know you won't talk about 2nd level security, but I'd love to see a video of the shark pit!

We had to run a building dryer in our house for several months day and night here in Germany. Because the previous owners didn't have the gutter fixed for years, moisture had built up in the basement… now that was an electricity bill! When running AC, which is what you actually do when the sun is shining, a decent solar system might help a lot with energy bills.
