ive been listening to him since i was born (2002) and i met him in 2012 when he came to my town for a concert, and i was devastated cause all the tickets sold out. i lived a few minutes away from were the concert would be so i went with my mom to see if we could find someone trying to sell tickets. we saw his bus and thought why not and knocked on the door. apparently he had just woken up from a nap and i saw him and cried at seeing the person ive wanted to meet my whole life. he gave us an autograph and guest passes so we can see the show VIP. and he dedicated Jerusalem to me as it has been my favorite song ever since ive listened to him and still is to this day. THANK YOU MATISYAHU. FOREVER HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART. SHALOM!

I wish there was a way I could tell kekoa and Matisyahu that this song saved my life. Four kids and a marriage dissolving, suicidal, ready to go. I grabbed my uke and learned how to play this song on the coffee shop video. It pulled me out and gave me the positive energy and focus to come out of it. So on behalf of my children. What I find so amazing is the fact he's playing that song and out of all places & Matisyahu happens to be there. This kid didn't even know it. I call it fate. Way to spread the love!

The coffee shop version of this song is probably my favourite, and the story behind it made it even better. I wasn't a Matisyahu fan a few days ago...in fact I hadn't even heard the name since he first hit the scene....but I'm sold now. I haven't been moved by a song in a long time, but One Day opened up a part of me I can't even explain.

I was at a festival and they had these "after shows" that costed a lot extra. One of the shows was Matisyahu. Me and a group of people (probably about 10 of us, all strangers) were just kind of hanging around the venue trying to figure out if we could somehow get in. A guy comes out of nowhere and is like, "y'all trying to see the show?". He said "Line up right here and I'll be right back."
So of course we did but we started thinking he wasn't coming back. A cop started hassling us and trying to get us to leave. The guy came back just in the nick of time and convinced the cop that we were with him. Then he took us all around to the back entrance of the club!
We walked in the door with Matisyahu! Great guys:)

I was there. Something in the coffee shop video stirred something inside of me. Seeing Matisyahu live was ineffable. Words cannot explain what i felt. I brought a sign and didnt have to show the other side, he played my request, just showed the "THANK YOU MATISYAHU" side. The world needs more Matisyahu.

Matisyahu performed at 2011 Shangri~La Festival in southern MN and at the end of this song I started to notice quite a few fans were getiing up an dancing on the stage.
After a minute I realized it was Matis himself helping his fans climb onto the stage.
The song ended with an entire stage full of people from the crowd singing and dancing. Awesome memories!
