That’s a significant amount of Black for a white American. Most are 0% or 1% the most. While most black Americans are between 10%-25% because of their enslaved female ancestor getting violated & pregnant from the enslaver. A lot of white & black Americans will just say it’s Native American because their ancestor didn’t want to say the sad & traumatic truth. While in the white community they say it because they do t want to admit it was actually Black & not Native ancestry so they can pass as white & not have to deal with the discrimination & bigoted laws of the past. There’s a lot of people who passed as white so their kids & future generations could have a better life a lot of white-passing celebrities like Joe Manganiello, Carol Channing, Carly Simon, & others who didn’t know because their family purposely hid it
