Girl, I had the most amazing stranger, a 60 year old woman allow me to stay with her. She lived next to the jail and I was 2 hours away from anything I knew. They just let me put and told me I couldn't walk away. I didn't have a phone, I had nothing and that beautiful woman saved me. She let me stay with her for a few days until she could take me to my area....she fed me, she had clothes that fit me that her grand daughter was donating. God brought that woman in my life and I'm so thankful that he did ❤

I'll never forget that day. No phone, no money, no home, no food. I had a bus ticket to Chicago, that's what I was given... Took forever, but I've got a home, wife, car, job, and a new sober life!

Keep up the great work Tina, I've never had experience with drugs or jail, but your videos really show people to not take drugs, keep it up😊

My brother was broke, no phone, straight out of prison, walking down the highway 2 1/2 hours(by car) away. Literally a sign telling people not to pick up hitchhikers, and someone drove him the 2 1/2 hour drive. We still talk about you at family dinners whoever you are 😇

I’ve always understood if someone isn’t able to help however if you can I implore you to consider it, I got kicked out onto the streets and my friend gave me a place to stay for a month and a half til I can find a place now a few years later I am returning the favor for a different friend letting them stay for as long as they need to . Help your friends you never know if you’re gonna need it later .

And some jails wont even let you walk off the premises, so unless you have a ride you're screwed.

Where i live here in missouri, they only let inmates out at night. My husband works a few min away from the prison, and he said he passed a body last night on his way to work. I was so shocked by him sending it that i had no words. His coworker actually saw the guy get hit by the car that was a little ways in front of him and had to swerve to avoid hitting the man as well. It makes me so sad to know what some of you have to go through as soon as you're out. I just hope that man is in a better place and the driver doesn't hate themselves forever.
Edit: it was not a hit and run, and the cops were there when my husband passed by. This is why I don't comment on YouTube. I shouldn't have to put every single detail on here.

This breaks my heart. I stopped as many females as possible from going off with strangers when leaving the jail. I mean a bunk mates brother whom they don’t know outside of the jail was gonna let them come stay. Ye it happened a lot. Thank you for bringing awareness and keep it up

Oh its awful trekking around trying to find someone who'll let you crash there for a night. Just so you can rest and think what to do next. Its weary. ❤️‍🩹

I would imagine that the social workers at hospitals would have recovery info and if not housing ties to other social workers who donhousing work

Being a male, I can relate to most of your content. But it's all spot on.
