It’s not only the tax buckets it’s what the investments are in the buckets, buckets with dividers, 3 years cash through the tough times.

The problem with all these short term buckets (up to 7 years!!!) is that you're dealing with a 20% chance of retiring into a down year into a near 80%+ chance of missing out on gains.

That's not the bucket strategy? The bucket strategy basically states that you should have one to four years of cash and another bucket with fixed assets and the other bucket with equities. What am I missing?
