Helluva piece of music. 'Tishomingo', a Chickasaw chief from Mississippi, decorated by George Washington for service in the War of 1812, died of smallpox on the Trail of Tears and is buried in Arkansas somewhere near Little Rock. And cities in Oklahoma & Mississippi. Another big thanks James.

Another highlight of "Sterling finest New Orleans Jazz records".
I just discover it today. 🙂 👍
The guest trombone player from Belgium is a great addition to the band. 🇧🇪 Bruce Brackman is another great clarinet player.

For those who might be haunted by the sense this tune is familiar, an adapted version of Tishomingo Blues (called Hello Love) was used to open Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion shows for many years.
