Buy/Rent Frankenstein!

Boris Karloff stars in Frankenstein, as the screen's most memorable monster, in what many consider to be the greatest horror film ever made. Dr. Frankenstein (Colin Clive) dares to tamper with life and death by creating a human monster (Karloff) out of lifeless body parts. Director James Whale's adaptation of the Mary Shelley novel blended with Karloff's compassionate portrayal of a creature groping for identity makes Frankenstein a masterpiece not only of the genre, but of all time.

"Crazy am I? We'll see whether I'm crazy or not." I just love the brooding intensity as the actor (Colin Clive) delivers that line.

I'm so happy that this film was restored..no offense to all the fans of MOVIES in this generation but for me, there is always this magical impact and the creativeness of making such wonderful movie like FRANKENSTEIN using the technology in past years.

Frankenstein is the first film of Universal’s monster movies that got me into the horror genre. Boris Karloff’s performance as Frankenstein’s Monster was one for the ages. His performances as the Monster in Bride of Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein were awesome as well. Karloff should’ve won (or at least have been nominated) for an Academy Award for his performance

“Now I know what it feels like to be God” a much more impactful line that isn’t nearly recognized as widely 😅

The good doctor was on fire in this scene and his performance in this movie was so good you had to feel pity for this man.

Colin acting what’s so incredibly head of its time he really embodied the true emotions of someone going through what he was doing.
This is most definitely in terms of the talking pictures the first and pioneer iconic scene in movie history

So Dr. Frankenstein didn't use the lightning but X-rays to bring the monster to life. The lightning was to power the magnetrons used to do so.
