Thank you Mikko. Very informative. Not using white or black in digital painting works great. Harder to do with traditional media. Nice advise with smudge tool. The Mikko Rill is still rocking; the only brush I use now.

The first few years we were not allowed colour, LOL. I have an ivory black; but use French ultramarine and burnt umber for darks or neutral greys, and or add colour too it. The procreate colour wheels certainly makes the process easier.

I have been watching your videos for a little longer than a week and I’m really impressed with ur art I have been drawing for my whole life and I’ve always wanted to do art until these recent years where I’ve lost motivation and stopped caring about art but I’ve used procreate pocket on my phone on and off for years creating simple wallpapers or whatever comes to mind but seeing your videos I’ve loved your art I’ve tried to replicate the painting process somewhat and with that style I can see a future in art which im very grateful for you for showing me that

So informative! I would've been saved a lot of heartache had I seen this video a year ago, I learned not to add black or white the hard way 😂. The advice about cool vs warm light was eye opening, Thank you! I will definitely be trying out the blue analagous pallet! :)

but I want to learn correctly, however I live on a farm in the middle of nowhere and only have internet
as a vector for learning. What art teachers or content creators can you point me to?
