Omg I love this guy this basically the setup I was running in my home lab. Promox with rancher v1 and Unifi for home networking. I even had DO running. I didn't have a ca though.

This really is an amazing demo on a single node. Thank you its good to be able to do something hands on that is within reach. Really cool.

I want to learn more about Kubernetes at home. Can't run it on my work laptop so I was interested in building out a Proxmox server to easily manage the VMs for Kubernetes and other learning. Trying to research how to best run Kubernetes on Proxmox I came across Rancher and this video. Would like to see more information on how you set up your Proxmox. Do you build it out of desktop components or server components? How you handle DNS, load balancing and storage? I know this is not official Rancher content but could be a personal channel video.

Fantastic demo sir! Still very relevant and made v2 very accessible to the noobs like me. Took a lot of the scary-ness away from running one's own kube cluster!

As an aside, whats providing that reverse search "menu" at 39:00? (I'm using ZSH on Fedora, so might not have an analogous, just curious).

Does anyone know what to install to have your shell spell out your aliases? I think that is missing from the presentation. At least up until 24:42. Thx!

I installed Rancher. Rancher Dashboard shows 15% CPU usage even with no apps installed on the cluster. It is a 3 node cluster with 8Gb/2 CPU each and one separate master of the same config. All running ubuntu+docker. Is this much resource usage expected for zero workload?

This website's login appears over bruteforcemoveable and I can't access bruteforce because I end up here

I think we should hit the pain point of getting sick of writing the verbose/clear kubectl commands before spending any time bringing in someone's repo to alias them. Anyway, I don't think it necessary for a beginner/intro video. 24 minutes in.

Please dont call Helm as kubernetes package manager, it's not. Otherwise nice overview.

Not bad content. Only the presenter keeps going off on tangent all the time. Stick to the point man.

the documentation is bad. Is that why you sell support?
