I had an aunt who was a notoriously bad cook, and one day she invited us over for "Chicken a la King." We all took a single bite and then, with pained smiles, asked her how she made the white sauce. Her recipe? Flour, salt, and water. That's right, she served us chicken and glue.

I think the reason some kids don't like certain foods is because they're introduced to them the wrong way.
When I first tried mushrooms, they were raw and rubbery and I hated them. So I didn't eat mushrooms for a long time.
Then my dad made some a few years ago, just in the skillet with some butter, salt and pepper.
And I realized I had been missing out on some good food.
