I've never seen a 14-oz. framing hammer, let alone such a long handle for such a LIGHTWEIGHT thumb-finder...

I bought an estwing and ive had it for 20 years, im 28 years old now and i cant find a reason to replace it. Yes ive bought a few other framing hammers.... But none have held up quite like my estwing.

A light weight hammer won't drive nails as well. It has less impact. I wouldn't buy just for that reason. Also wood handles can break. I bought fiberglass 25 years ago and still have it.

I bought a used stiletto at a flea market for $30. 20 years ago still works perfect later on in life I picked up the Ruger stiletto for the wife ✌️

Honestly if you can’t find a good handle I would just jam as much titebond 3 and sawdust in those cracks as I could, sand and oil it when dry, and replace the handle when it brakes. I prefer a straight handle anyway. (Maybe use little acetone in the cracks to open the grain up more for the titebond and sawdust)

I bought a small sledge from Harbor Freight that lasted for 2 strikes before the head came flying off missing my son's head by inches

Your video was near the Irish woodworker guy and now I'm wondering if swapping the handle would be worth the savings lol

Your video would carry a lot more weight if you bought one then worked the crap out of it for a while and reported on it's performance. Doing the "review" the way you have seems petty and prejudicial with no facts. Perhaps that was your intent to generate comments? If so, good job...
