Benchmade 183 Contego Fixed Blade - Love At First Slice

The Benchmade Contego Fixed Blade is on my all-time favorite list. If you've watched Crocket20, he too displays his appreciation for this blade. I find that I'm constantly looking for reasons to bring out this knife and get it into my hands. Benchmade S30V is very nicely done in general and this blade is no exception. Is it a wilderness, bushcraft, camp or tactical knife? Who really knows, but it's definitely sweet. I highly recommend it!

I have one. Main complaint is no lanyard hole. So I pulled the gripsnoff and drilled a hole through, then counter sank using a larger drill bit. So now I have a lanyard loop. Not thr best but it's there.

If I were seriously going deep I would carry a lightweight axe with the knife.
I am obsessed with the blade design.Beautiful, elegant, and unique.

I love mine too! It's the black plain edge. I am however looking for a leather sheath that will hug it tight.

I know this is an old video but I just got the Benchmade infidel fixed dagger in D2 double edge great sheath tip and grip I would batoning with the infidel especially being a double sided blade paid $150 not bad since it goes for $216 on any blade store Internet or not.I do like this blade also I have the folder in M4 great folder except the handle is so grippy it will tear your pants and even hands with long use.

i been usin this for 6 months as a work knife. im a structural ironworker in nyc and beat on it. sheath is kinda crap. i cut the back off and put on a tec loc. otherwise i love this blade

Luv the look quality steel would buy if the steel was a little field sharpener friendly I have the folder in m4 steel luv it maybe a little big for edc though
