4x4 Cape York Adventure 2016: Episode 2 - Roadhouses

After two years in the planning, the Dirt DownUnder crew will finally achieve a long shared dream: to take our families to the tip of Australia, Cape York! Leaving from the Gold Coast and heading north until we can drive no further, we plan to strengthen friendships, forge new ones and put our overlanding skills to the test. The four vehicles on this expedition are a GU Patrol, a Suzuki Vitara , a Landcruiser Troopy and a Toyota Hilux.

In this episode, the DDU crew travel from the infamous Lion's Den Hotel to the mighty Archer River!

Heys guys great vids of your trip!! I am looking at planning a trip to the tip from brissy, but am unsure of my lpg/petrol patrol making it up there with lack of lpg available? But after seeing your dual fuel mighty patrol make it up there i am keen to leave tomorrow!! I noticed the patrol was only carrying 2 jerrys, do you run a long range sub tank? Was lpg available up past cairns? I'm only running a 90L lpg tank with a 35L petrol, was thinking of carrying 4-5 jerrys? Any info would by muchly appreciated of how the patrol went with fuel burn. Thanks in advance!!
