This reminds me of our docking at Svolvaer (Lofoten) in summer 2018. The ferry from Bodø to Svolvaer stayed in the harbour because of bad weather - but the captain of the VESTERÅLEN (Hurtgruten) faced the challenge! 👍👍👍

Having the front STRBD anchor down with the port engine in reverse and strbd forward while being pushed on your strbd side the engines keep the stern trying to fight the current while the front is anchored essentially doing the same thing in the end makes the boat have the samee outcome of hittinf the dock but at a much much slower and controlled speed compared to just smacked it
