AWS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a simple best practice that adds an extra layer of protection on top of your user name and password. Basically, it helps you to protect your AWS resources.

MFA = Password you know + Security Device you own

➤ Why MFA?
If the password is stolen or hacked or users have access to your account and can possibly change configurations and delete resources in your AWS account, so to overcome this AWS MFA is required

➤ Instead of Enabling AWS MFA, you can use MFA device options in AWS

➤ MFA device options in AWS
1. Virtual MFA Device
2. Universal 2nd Factor (U2F) Security Key
3. Hardware Key Fob MFA Device
