The percussion here is absolutely fucking amazing. Osaki's really the best at symphonic rock with heavy emphasis on the drums. The fight is badass as well, and when 2:22 kicks in it feels like ascending to heaven. One of the best tracks on the OST.

Using "The Strongest Foe" for a motif was so damn inspired. If they brought it back in every Ys game I don't think anyone would complain haha. Seriously, love the way this theme takes it then comes up with a faster, unique spin on it for the second half.

THE PINNACLE OF FICTION. Possibly the only character in the series who matches Ernst in pure fucking rawness. My guy really took on an extremely strong Adol at 23 (At this point he defeated more gods and divine beings than you can count on two hands!) together with 6 other experienced fighters. He's absolutely worthy to have the motif of The Strongest Foe in his track. Easily one of my favorite Osaki pieces, possibly my favorite of all time if we don't consider rearranged ones.

I somehow missed the Galbalan motif! I was doing this for the first time on nightmare so I was just going nuts trying to stay alive. Sorry Tia but you definitely needed this guy as your bodyguard, he's three times stronger than you.
