Review | Zvezda KV-1 model 1941 1/100 (15mm) | WWII

Zvezda have added another KV-1 variant to their range. In this episode of Fog of War we look inside the box and build this great little kit. In a surprise twist, you can build two versions of the KV-1 from this one box. We also look at the history of the KV-1 and look at its stats in Flames of War. Heavy and slow but with good armour protection and firepower the KV-1 is a good mid-war tank for Russian players.

I've really been enjoying all your content. I just started FOW in November 2020, and the reviews and play tips and techniques have been helpful and inspirational.

I was on the fence about getting a few of these for my Soviets. Harry, you talked me into it! Great video once again.

I got this kit awhile back and was very happy with the model. I chopped off the rear machine gun from the unused turret center for the bow gun. Keep up the great videos! Happy gaming!

Ad some stowage(or some greenstuff tarps, if you don't have any) and dress it up.
Looks good, friend.

Zvesda keeps on making great 1/100 scaled tanks! Nice review!

From the research ive done i was under the impression that both these kit names should be 1939 and 1940 not 40 and 41...the tank encyclopedia lists the tanks with the l-11 gun as 1939 and the upgunned f-32 model as 1940 respectively...unless im missing something.

I just received my two KV-1 1940 variant tanks from a seller in Russia, and they appear to have both turrets as well. Maybe this is a cost saving feature for them? cheaper to just use the same mold for both?

I dont get why this gun looks so small compared to other 100 scale kits
it also means its way easier to damage while handling

Does anyone have any advice on how to build these with an open hatch?

i would use that zvezda as a toy army tank, bc the track design would be good as a toy army tank

Harry, I cannot help but notice that you still refer to the V3 rules. Is this a deliberate decision? Or did you not yet receive your V4 rules?
