Ramones chorus sounds like The Misfits

This Ramones song was written by Daniel Rey. Daniel Rey was a longtime songwriter for the Ramones and he produced both of the two Michael Graves-era Misfits albums (1997's American Psycho and 1999's Famous Monsters). I'm not sure if Daniel Rey was a fan of the Misfits or not but he likely was.

The Misfits - "I Turned Into a Martian" (Walk Among Us, 1982).
The Ramones - "Tomorrow She Goes Away" (Mondo Bizarro, 1992).

Ramones version sounds like Imagine by John Lennon (the part when he sings "I hope someday you'll join us")

Definitely sounds similar. that said, a 3-chord chorus by two bands who specialize in a particularly overdriven 4/4 style with 50s-influenced harmonies, there's probably gonna be some overlap. So I think it can be forgiven :P lol.
I totally forgot Daniel Rey played a part in the songwriting of this. I believe Joey wrote the lyrics, but makes sense that Daniel Rey did the music. He (along with Ed Stasium in the early days.... although he did produce the album this song is from) are sort of like the 5th-6th Ramones on the records they were involved with.

That’s ok, the Misfits borrowed a lot from the Ramones first.

Super reaching on this one buddy. BTW tomorrow she goes away is an underrated song. One of the best on Monday bizzaro. But this is like saying last caress sounds like blitzkrieg bop. Listen to it again u know what I mean
