How do I change an oven bulb?

This video demonstrates how to change the oven bulb in your oven.

How do I get the side cover off excatly, do I use a screw driver or a hammer? Changing the bulb is easy getting the cover off not so much. Please be more specific and exact!

Ovens need the exact type of bulb they are designed to use. Every oven is different and many don't have covers at all, just an exposed bulb. Many older or cheaper ovens use screw in light bulbs that look just like household bulbs. But DO NOT USE A HOUSEHOLD BULB even if it is a screw in connection. Normal bulbs can't handle the high heat of an oven and the air/gas inside will burst or explode the bulb. Also most household bulbs will explode and shatter if any hot liquid gets splattered on them. USE ONLY MADE FOR OVEN BULBS EXACTLY LIKE THE MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDS OR YOU'LL BE INJURED OR CLEANING UP BROKEN GLASS.

I found that using a watch back removal ball unscrewed a particularly stubborn cover
