Fascinating analysis of the Enochian texts! You not only broke down how they made it to us in their present forms, but on how John Dee was inspired by the Enochian tradition to write his magic without ever reading any of the books. I had no idea their history was so complicated. It's crazy how a tradition can be so influential even after the source is gone. Excellent job!

John Dee was contemporary with Sir Francis Drake, whose ships brought some of my European ancestors, and African also, to the Pacific Northwest where I was born and have lived all my life so far. As a teen I made the tablets in paper based materials from the instructions in the Donald Michael Kraig book. The rituals for me went under round turn of century. My second Magick revival is partly informed by your research, which when I was in university was unavailable as a focus of study. Damian Echols is the main influence in my revival, as is the great American eclipse of 2017 with Sun at home in Leo, where the Moon's shadow crossed the North South dividing line of our great nation, and at that time the Goddess Sekhmet appeared to me again after long alienation from my Woke indoctrination in my Atheist Marxist university experience, while I was in the OTO as a priest, and losing touch with that from the Woke poison in my university. I'm really inspired that these things have found a place in the quackademic world, bringing the balance back to the great divide between the church of pure reason invoked by the bloody sacrifice of the guillotines, ca 1789. Snorri's tale begins with the thrice burning of the great Freya, the feminine take on Frey, whose name in our modern English is pronounced, "Free". The Ancient Wisdom is always there for those courageous enough to suspend disbelief long enough to have some direct experience. Burn witches all you want, our power is not sourced from the 3D realm. Again, thanks to you for holding this vibration in the robot realm we all inhabit these days. Human is superior to robot always, when we have the discipline of the Disciples of the Way.

The Dead Sea Scrolls contain a considerable amount of information as well about angelology. Especially the war scroll. It details how the revolutionary Essenes were instructed to write multiple angelic names in Hebrew on their weapons and equipment, believing that this would give them some kind of spiritual powers against the Romans. Sad what happened to them during the Siege of Jerusalem. BTW Angela, you are quite astute with your pronunciations.😇🙏🍀🤔

Just for info. I recently read Dame Frances Yates 'The Rosicrucian Enlightment' published by Routledge. She talks a lot about John Dee in the context of cultural history and the development of modern science. I found it absolutely fascinating and could not put it down. A must read for all those academically interested in the tooics Angela discusses in her symposia.
