Tables don't effect Tongans! Meng debuts the Tongan Death Grip in match with Public Enemy (WCW)

Nitro - (Sep 9 1996) Public Enemy put Barbarian & Meng (Haku) through tables & they shrug them off like nothing. Meng debuts his Tongan Death Grip submission move which he would use in an undefeated streak in WCW, even holding down Goldberg for 3 seconds but NWO Referee Nick Patrick wouldn't make the 3 count.

Imagine if Public Enemy said the same thing to Meng and Barbarian before their match, as they said to Bradshaw and Farooq 😂 Somehow I think the beat down by Meng and Barbarian would make even Bradshaw and Farooq look like child’s play.

That Moonsault nailed Haku right in the family jewels and he was NOT happy about it! Rocko squaring up with Haku was dumb as shit but Grunge definitely took the worst of it with the death grip even though he hit Haku with some super soft punches.

This looks more like a "worked shoot", a worked finish designed to look like a shoot, as a way to put over Meng's toughness, but also the feeling of "anything can happen" with public enemy in the ring (they were first experimenting with how to get someone over who has the ECW reputation).
