I love this blaster. I should say mine is modded, though. I beefed it up a bit, but the main thing was adding rails on the sides and a barrel attachment point. It's a sweet looking blaster once modded, and performs great with new darts. Though as Coop mentioned older darts and damaged darts don't work as well.

I feel like Nerf was trying to combine what every flywheel guy wanted into one blaster with the Hyperfire, but didn't completely get it. Stryfe sized, full auto, battery stock, decently comfy front grip, and accurate. Basically everything Nerfers want. Except, sometimes it's fun to add barrels that do nothing because they look cool.

To improve the Hyperfire and to make it a great blaster is to completely eliminating the thumbhole stock or made it more comfy by making it wider to create more space so that your wrist move more freely

I bought one of these recently as am getting my kids into Nerf and almost immediately ended up getting a second and may get a third! They are amazing! I threw in some AA-to-D adapters and increased the voltage and my kids just scream through darts with them, enjoying every second! We also have springers which they use for plinking, but they won't even touch the semi-auto Modulus. The Hyperfire just fits them so well! I looked at more recent alternatives such as the Elite 2.0 Turbine but wasn't that impressed and the Rival options were too bulky for them. I added slings and now they run around with Hyperfires slung to their backs and a Nerf pistol in hand :) It's a blast just to watch them enjoying themselves!
