Hi Hassan! I’ve been a dog trainer for 5 years. I’ve just gone back to school for animal behavior and biology of animals. I don’t know your future plans for your pup but here’s some tips for the crate that you can take or leave!
Meal time should be in or around the crate to create a good experience for the puppy. Never use the crate for a timeout zone/punishment. Her crate and pen should be a safe zone that she knows she can go to if stressed/scared or just tired.
Look into lick mats that can either be stuck to the bottom of the crate or the sides. Kongs are good but she will have the option of taking it out of the pen/crate which gets in the way of creating a good relationship with the crate. And the only other thing is letting them cry their little hearts out till they tire themselves out and after a good nap you can go get the little tike! And I know you don’t need it being the awesome dog dad you are but wishing you luck!

Man I just got my first Puppy a few months ago, and he has been an absolute joy in my life. He was so tiny, its only been 8 months now he is a 80 pound Mastiff/German Shepard lol.

I cried seeing this again, I can't even get through the sentence without tearing up. This dog saved my life going into prolonged days of waiting for surgery. This little pup kept my hopes up in the darkest of moments. I'll never get to say thank you in person to this wonderful ball of joy, hopefully this will be enough.

I just got a new Belgian Malinois. He's 16 weeks old. He was born in the Humane Society. His mom was surrendered. I can't believe nobody snatched him up. He's so good and chill.

Crate training is so so important!! When i got my Luna (rip) as a little golden retriever pup she would cry all night inside her crate too. I ended up having to sleep next to her crate with my hand touching her through the bars hahaha. After a few weeks she loved her crate though, it was a safe haven (as it should be) Congrats on the new pup Hasan!! She’s so lucky to have such a great owner.

If your puppy won't sleep, the easiest way to get her to sleep is to lay down next to her crate, lightly pet her through the bars, and softly talk and/or sing to her. Do this until she eventually falls asleep.
She's used to having her brothers, sisters, and mom with her when she goes to sleep, so, until she learns to sleep by herself, you have to physically be there for her.
