Why cannot nations be proud of their heritage any more? I am Hungarian and my heart throbs with my nation's struggles and miraculous survival, its rich culture etc... but I can rejoice in other nations' love for their own country, too.

This is not an anthem, it is a national hymn. A kids we all sang this in school and new it by heart. It is magnificent and was voted the most favourite hymn in England.

As a proud Scot this song means more today than it ever has, we need the great back in Britain.

Brings tear to my eyes when I remember singing it at school. It makes me think of how Britain endured the second world war and even now living in NZ makes me long for my homeland and the history and traditions which are part of my heart and sole. I just hope that I will see those clouded hills once again one day.

As a Scotsman I’ve never understood why this beautiful song isn’t Englands national anthem. My English wife agrees

I'm Canadian and to hear this absolutely fantastic performance makes me very proud to be of British ancestral heritage. That little country called England, smallest country to have the largest empire for the longest time, the sun never sets on the British empire. I do not want to see England go under, keep England strong. She is our dear motherland. Greetings & dominion loyalty from Canada

I’m a Dane, more specifically from Jutland. We have a deep connection to England, in history, culture and genetics, the Anglo-saxons and the Normans.
You are our children, you surpassed us in every way, you made the most important civilization ever.
We are very proud of you kids.

Listening to this I can feel Britain beginning to rise from the cultural desert that our leaders have plunged us into over the last few decades. The time is fast arriving for us to once again become the people of pride, dignity and courage that we truly are. And to rid ourselves of those who have greedily feasted upon our largess.

About a year ago I discovered this incredible rendition of this song, and I nearly wept for my country's diminishing culture. The next day Jerusalem was sung at my Nan's funeral and this time I couldn't hold the tears back.

I'm a Hong Konger who has moved to England for many years. I simply don't understand why so many English these days shy away from admiring their own culture and history. As a Hong Konger I'm proud to be part of the British Empire.

American here. My ancestors came from England, so there's a part of my soul that loves and belongs to the Old Country. Watching this brought tears to my eyes. I watched it over and over. Absolutely beautiful and divine.
