Petrof pianos are by far my most favourite insturments I have ever played and heard. Nothing sounds quite like them. They are truly fantastic, especially their uprights.

Petrof instruments have such a smooth fluid feel in the action and such a full round tone. Everyone should play one at least once

My piano teacher used to have a slightly smaller Petrof grand from the 1970s. Superb instruments from perhaps Europe's best piano builder. I actually owned a Model 125 upright for 10 years, the tone was amazing but I found the action too heavy - even though I likely benefitted from practicing on it.

Wow, I am surprised. The sound of the grand piano is a bit harsh, but it sounds really good. It has potential.

Awesome piano Robert! I think on the information card for the piano There might be a typo saying that it is 9‘9“, instead of 7‘9“. You put out great content with beautiful piano playing as always 🙂

Also, beautiful space. Is that a new recital hall/stage for the showroom?

I had a 5"3" Samick...bought it new 'cause it was cheaaap at the time...I ended up hating it. Had it for years. Hurricaine Harvey6 floods us, and the insurance company said I could wait a while and they would get me a new one, or they had a company they were somehow affiliated with (estate sale?) had a slightly used 5'3" Petrof so I grabbed it.

First of all it sounded great. Amazing difference. The touch was also perfect (for me). I am Not a concert pianist, but just someone who enjoys learning pieces and playing as a hobby. Second, it was so far better than the Samik, it wasn't close. :after, I found the piano was made in 1990, so not as good as the later post-Soviet ones...but it still plays great for my purposes. Yeah...I'd LOVE the Monsoon advertised here...but my playing still leaves a lot of room for justifying the Petrof I do have...

A rather bright, transparent tone - since you are also a Horn player, think of the sound of an Alexander compared to the Hollywood Conn 8-D sound. Although I'm an Alex player, I rue the current international homogenization of tone quality,

What piece was played starting at 0:49?

I played a Petrof upright for 28 years. Went to audition grand pianos recently and tried a used petrof grand. Was shocked at how bright it sounded just like the one here. Was not for me. The tone in the middle and lower keys were nice but it was just too bright overall.
