For years, there has been a tongue-in-cheek campaign coming out of Russia that attempted to paint Russian president Vladimir Putin as an Alpha Male. His martial arts credentials were a big part of it. After all, the man holds several black belts...or does he? We'll examine it in this video.

Is this fake news here? His 9th Dan in Taekwondo was withdrawn from him, not the "black belt". You become a master, a black belt, with earning the first Dan. So it means Putin is still an 8th (!) Dan and allowed to wear the black belt and teaching others.
