Easy Leatherman Wingman Mod

I thought I would try my hand at this cool mod to a Leatherman Wingman. This opens up so many possibilities to other options! The mind is racing with ideas!

How is that a mod? You just took it apart.

The pliers of my Wingman are the tool I use 80-90% of the time. The scissors and knife make up the other 10-20%. All the other goodies are just nice to have in the event I need them.

That is a option.. But if I'm being honest the pliers are probably the most used part of the tool.. I still think it's creative thinking though..

The pliers have saved me so many times. The screwdrivers too. To separate all of them seems wrong. Especially since the plier allows me to fold my wingman into a position that gives me extra reach when I’m using the screwdriver.

There's now a guy who makes a "plierless Sidekick/Wingman and takes the inner tools of both the sides and puts them into one handle so you get the drivers and the box cutter, ruler, can opener all in one. He had to modify the drivers to make them fit but they all do. It's a great combo of tools with a good pocket clip!

You took the best tool off of it while simultaneously totally defeating the "all in one" intent of the design. Moving in the wrong direction on this one.

Uses handy Leatherman pliers to remove handy Leatherman pliers....Anyone else sees the irony here? I won't be doing this to mine.

Makes No sense. Buy a knife. You took a perfectly good tool apart for what? I don’t understand.

Don't bother getting a Leatherman if you plan on doing this "mod".

This isn't a mod, nor is it a trick. You aren't improving or adding value to it at all.
Its a waste of money and time is what it is.
Go buy an actual swiss army knife.

Cool mod. It's nice to have options. Don't listen to the knuckleheads.
