IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!!!! Trimet MAX Type 6 is now in Service!

It took two years and a month, but as of Thu 1/16/2025 the type 6 is now running. Cars 603 and 605 ran on train 6 (I have no idea if that was coincidence or not). This is part 1 showing more so an overview of the new trains and the features that separate it from the type 5s. No other sets have entered service yet, but 601/604, 615/618, and occasionally 609/612 go out on the mainline to test. Next week I'll also have a video on the new trains, but it will be a mostly unedited ride from Gateway TC to Hillsboro

Im an operator, and i can say the trains are definitely as bad as people say they are. I have to deal with noxious fumes several times a day, and I always ride in the other cab to my road reliefs because of safety. I stopped riding the MAX except when headed to and from work. Hopefully these new laws will help, but I doubt they'll be enforced.

I’ve been riding the type 6’s since shortly after they got delivered.
They were running blue and yellow line in the afternoon, and VERY rarely at night.
I would take them from Gresham end of line, to the expo center. Expo center yellow line would only have it sometimes.

It was intentionally on train 6 for the first 2 days. Now its been cleared to run on any ruby train other than transfers since they want to keep them easy access for the more experienced with type 6's staff at the ruby yard if there are any issues with them. Yesterday they were train 3 and today they ran on Train 69.
