I live in Dwarka and a uncle lives in my appartment alone and he is a kashmiri pandit, he told us that he had a family of 6 members, he, his mother, father, 2 sisters and 1elder brother he told us that his family was a well to do grocer in Kashmir and one day some peoples holding fire sticks in hand entered their house and he was his room with his brother and suddenly he told us that they heard some fireshots and screaming and his elder brother told him go up stairs and hide at the store room he will be back soon and don't go outside the room until his brother comes back, he waited for hours, when he got crying for search of his mom, dad and siblings what he was they were all lying dead at ground....
Uncle literally cried after telling this 😭
His neighbours helped him to survive hardly at the campaign of save the pandits....

I've never seen a kashmiri pandit family who's not successful and doing well even after such atrocities. They are talented intelligent people. Their homes should be given back to them. My friend being a kashmiri pandit is still fighting a case in court to reclaim his ancestral land in Kashmir which has been illegally occupied. It seems very difficult to get the land back despite having all the papers he says. Situation is still worse. Government should do something otherwise the potential of kashmiri Pandits and Kashmir as a place in general will be lost.
