A southbound Class 465 South Eastern train arrives at Bromley North station.

Bromley North sits on it's own as an OSI (out of station interchange) station for the much more commonly used Bromley South station. The station is served by a shuttle service known operated by South Eastern between Grove Park and Bromley North with an intermediate station at Sundridge Park with 3 trains per hour at off-peak times. This is known as the Bromley North Line.

There have been two separate proposals to integrate the Bromley North Line into the London Underground network and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) network. The London Underground proposal would involve converting the line into part of the Bakerloo Line when it is extended south to Hayes and Beckenham. The DLR proposal would involve converting the line into DLR operation as part of a southern extension.
