Brunei is in a huge breakout! Over 300 cases a day for a tiny country of only about 4.3 million people. And it has an extremely low vaccination rate, so much so that Sg sent 100, 000 of Moderna to assists them. Not smart to open quarantine free bilateral travel with Brunei! High risk. Goes completely against Sg's supposed criteria of high vaccination, low infection and strong pandemic controls.

The reasons gave by US are simply not jiving with reality. Just because you can't stomach the economic progress made by China which then tries to get the developing economies to do the same. We all know that without economic progress whatever political ideology one may follow, there won't be any peace within that country. Did China goes around asking other economies not to work with US or the West? Most of the ASEAN members have large trades with China and you want us to jeopardize this trade? Just like the joker in Australia??
