We still let our "leaders" tell us who our enemys are. Thus making war easier. Videos like this can help ease the biases. Just wish it could be on our media.

seems that Chinese cities, 1st tier, 2nd tier or even 3rd tier are all so beautiful, with clean streets and parks that are not only beautiful but also well utilised for healthy activities. Thanks, dude, for showing us Guiyang!

Oh, that’s my hometown where I lived for 18 years. I really missed there. Thanks for your video. Actually I want to explain the name of this city. Gui means valued, precious and Yang means sun. Cause the weather there is always cloudy and rainy...Another explanation is, the city is located on the southern side of the Gui-mountain, which is the sunny side of mountains in North Pole.

Now THAT's CHINA! I've watched hundreds of videos about China, own a shelf of books about History of China... here's a city I don't recall ever hearing of, population larger than any city in my state! Also (judging by the Wikipedia article I just skimmed) a pretty happening place! And of course with it's own dialect and food specialties. It's like there's no end to China... I think the food/travel video sector stresses the first-tier cities, and then skips to the distant provinces and you're back on the farm. This might be the Chinese equivalent of Tampa, FL I'm thinking. Maybe ten times bigger and also more interesting and better climate, but how it relates to the nation as a whole. That's something we don't see here in YouTube land, everyone's talking about Shenzen or Beijing or Chengdu....

I’m living in Guiyang, and it’s interesting to see another side of this city by a foreign friend’s eyes, like your video!

Love all chinese parks are so friendly to elderlies. When young people go to school and work, elderlies all have their parks and groups to do some exercises, martial art or dancing. They enjoy their retirement lives.

Technically, Guiyang is more of a 2.7 tier city.

2:50 WOW, shining clean, I never saw this kind of cleaning in the same public area in the US or Canada, where the cigarette ends and chewing-gum-black-spots all over the places, while the wall is full of graffiti.

I like your irony! You don't need to say good things and people will see the good things with their own eyes.

Guiyang(贵阳) got it's name because it located at the southern side of the Gui mountain(贵山).
in ancient Chinese, the southern side of mountain or northern side of water are also called the yang side(阳面).
so literally, Guiyang means "the southern side of the Gui mountain"

The people with the swords. You should see them when they take their fans out. It's very impressive when they make the fans crack
