Beatles - I'll Be Back Guitar Secrets

Beatles guitar lesson PLEASE: Read video description below BEFORE COMMENTING.

I eliminated the last half of the song after the second bridge. This is a 2012 Rodriguez CAB11 Classical Guitar with light tension silver plated wound and clear nylon strings. Also, a 1991 Gibson J160-E. Strings are Masterbuilt Phosphor Bronze .012 - .052. Both guitars were recorded with a Tascam DR07 digital recorder 1 foot from the guitar slightly ahead of the sound hole. The master recording is about 20 cents flat so I pitch corrected the backing tracks to avoid having to detune both guitars. No tabs. No profanity in comments please.

My videos are really intended for accomplished guitarists who want to polish up their Beatles repertoire and can benefit from "seeing" how a song is played - I am not a guitar teacher and do not provide tabs. I welcome specific questions. If the various chords that I am playing are not familiar to you then I would suggest that you visit some of the many free guitar chord sites. I had to learn these songs by listening to vinyl records and watching live performances on tv.

John's rhythm guitar skills were amazing and George was remarkably mature and restrained, always demonstrating that less is more. Your video does them justice.

Another great lennon song that he deemed only a throwaway, one of my favourites

My favorite song off of Beatles '65.
I always thought this was their most underrated song of the 62-66 era.

So...that's how John and George played this song!  The skill and accurateness crushes one's ego, especially what George is playing...at only 22 years-old!?!?

GREAT VIDEO - thank you for posting! :)

This is one of my all-time favorite Beatles songs.

The strum pattern is the MVP here. The Beatles missed no opportunity to make details into extra magic. None of the four of them ever phoned in anything. Sparkles everywhere.

John wrote a beautiful song but George's lead guitar made it even better ❤️

As someone who just spent the last 24 hrs on this song, finding this video was so cool. Thumbs up.

Unbelievable geniuses, what a combination of guitars, and the Fab Four were always coming up with new ideas, new sounds, new musical textures, new vocalizations: The grandparents of all subsequent pop and even rock music.

This one has given me chills since I was eight or nine years old, and seeing how the magic trick was done just makes it richer and more beautiful.

This is the first tutorial for this song I have ever seen that is spot on. Straight forward and played along to the original. Even a J-160E. Great Job!

Your videos helped me realize what a great genius George was as a solo-guitar player. At times it is harder to play less than more.

Nostalgia sounds like this. I was twelve when I went to the cinema to watch Hard Day's Night. A long, long time ago.
Thank you for bringing these songs alive. You have a lovely collection of instruments that sound like they should. Great stuff.

Very nice job. The Beatles early stuff appears so simple but you show the complexity and richness of their music.

As a big beatles fan and a guitarist I just want to say that im very impressed in the work you put into this. You are of great inspiration to me, your covers are amazing and very precise. I'm only a recent sub but ive already checked out alot of your work and it's amazing! I love the way you play guitar, it's very nice and i'm always amazed at all of the small details you add in the songs that most people's covers on youtube exclude!! All in all I want to express my gratitude for this TOP quality work and my respect towards you.
p.s. English is not my first language... sorry for the mistakes.

Your top of the game. Its a pleasure to see the songs analyzed musically. What brilliant musicians they were. George was great but Johns rhythm guitar playing esp live was sheer class and musically a driving force

Great job! Some of my favorite Beatles parts to play are George's work with his Ramirez on songs like "I'll Be Back", "And I Love Her", etc. and you sure nailed it here. Play on.

I love how when John sings "but I'll be back again" he actually goes back to a-major.
