How To Replace A Thermostat On A 1997 Honda Accord

In this video I show how to replace the thermostat in a 1997 Honda Accord with the 4 cyl engine/ This does not have the v-tech engine. If your engine is getting hot you may need to replace the thermostat.

While swapping engines on my son's 97 Accord SE due to a rod knock, noticed it never had a thermostat installed. Bought the car last year for my son and have performed the basic maintenance. Car has never overheated, although, it does idle pretty low at times during the summer when the air conditioner is on. Will install a new, inspect all the vacuum llines, and see if the idle improves...Thanks for the video.
