something... in the back of my mind gets this impression that this might start gaining many similarities to Amazon itself as a business. once one faction grows big enough and dominant enough, it will control everything and the other factions will more or less get bled dry afterward...

New world has been a blast, the enemy variations, the location differences with different wildlife and structures. The towns and buildings look amazing and the combat has a skill ceiling for each weapon. You can also animation cancel.your attacks with an ability. idk if this video is from the first alpha but the beta has been great. The enemies also get more dangerous as you level up as a lower level mob (lvl 25) will be slower to attack where as a level (lvl 45) mob will have a move set like the player's depending on the weapon they're using. It even has a homage to Bloodborne with "bright town" being like "blight town" with enemies and towns reminding you of Bloodborne. I have seen multiple people dropping review videos where they have never made it out of the starter area, have no weapon points, never used the crafting system, etc. The pvp also rewards players with exp and players can also drop loot when killed. It's been great. The world feels alive, you can interact with the world and everything you see for the most part. The game has open world dungeons and instanced dungeons as well
