Joe Biden has sat down with China's President Xi Jinping for the last time as US president.

The two acknowledged "ups and downs" in relations over Biden's four years in office during a summit in Peru.

Meanwhile, Presdient-elect Donald Trump has named more people for his cabinet ahead of his inauguration in January, but faces a tough process to get them all confirmed.

The US produces light crude, for which the US has no refining capacity, and exchanges the light crude that trades for a third more on the market, for the cheaper heavy crude, for which, the US has the refining capacity. Whilst the US could drill for, and pump more light crude, the heavy crude producers of OPEC, will not agree to more capacity of heavy crude, as a way for the US to potentially lower gas prices, in the US and undercut their revenues. Like climate denial, versus the reality of the climate, the market will bring Trump's US to heel.
