In a world-first study we have the first indications of whether medicinal cannabis can benefit people with insomnia. It’s early days, so the evidence is still growing… but the early results are promising.

I started smoking cannabis since my teenage. Got addicted to cigarettes for over 18 years. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I quit weed a month ago and my sleep has been slowly getting better and better. The first 3 weeks I have had the craziest dreams, so vivid and memorable. I almost never dreamed when getting high. Currently on day 23 of being sober and my body is slowly normalizing itself. I'm grateful for my experiences with weed but my chronic daily use was harming me in ways I hadn't noticed. Irritability, zombie like days, and a lack of effective motivation to get things done. I'm giving myself a year to be sober, and maybe I'll go back to it but in edible form and only on off days like weekends or celebrations. Hope peace for you all ✌️

My humble experience with insomnia (for years)
Wake up early, everyday even if you haven't had enough sleep, take a nap later after midday, but wake up early like 30min before the sunrise, try to inhale that fresh air just before the sunrise and get exposed to the light of the rising sun. I've done it for years now, best quality sleep, no more waking up at 3am questioning your existence on earth hh and better mornings especially if you take walks

Good Talk.

Chill thing about Canada is 4 cannabis plants per household. 10 to 12 pounds per growing season, 1 season indoors, and 1 season outdoors.

You always know what's in your own dried flower. And what buds you need to best address the ailments in need.

In North America, opiates kill, bud doesn't.

I have PTSD . Which caused night terrors . Nothing helped . Until I joined a university of Sydney study . I was prescribed CBD oil with THC. I have never slept better . Very few nightmares since .
Therefore I have continued .

Medicinal cannabis has been revolutionary to my sleep. As a shift worker of 20 years my sleep is generally awful. I use a very small amount about once every 10 to 14 days, I get 10 to 12 hours sleep that night and the effect on more restful sleep lasts about a week. I can see it in my smart watch sleep scores as well as subjectively feel the difference. For me it somehow breaks the circuit of waking up in the middle of the night and being unable to get back to sleep.
It is also less expensive than the combined combo that helped but less reliably. I really hope that we can start moving more quickly on legalisation.

I have hyper-vigilance stemming from service related PTSD which in turn causes me to experience anxiety, and most nights I can't sleep all the way through. Since I retired I have been using a full spectrum tincture and coupled with my CPAP, I get the best sleep I have had since I was a kid. Anecdotal for sure, but until and unless the federal government legalized or reschedules cannabis, the scientific studies cannot be done, so anecdotal evidence is all we have, at least in the states.

I can tell you from personal experience that for me, taking high doses of mmj edibles is the difference between getting 5 hours collectively of sleep in a 24 hour period, versus 3 hours. It makes a huge difference not only in the quantity of sleep, but the quality as well. I am fortunate to live in Arizona, where medical marijuana has been legal for several years, and recreational is also legal here now.

She seems like someone amazing to work with... About the topic I knew the answer was gonna be still far away, as a recreative consumer I've felt some days that it helps me with having better sleep, but others can even make the contrary effect, but as she said, that may be because of the quality of the plant and the dosis, but thouse are factors that at least in my country are uncrontrolable for consumers, it's great to see the science researching more about this topic.

I live in Canada. And I sleep like the dead most nights.🙃

It boggles my mind that something I'm growing legally on my back deck as I type. Is such a spectacle of controversy elsewhere in the world.

Im 60, and I've had sleep issues my entire life. It got considerably worse after having bypass surgery at age 41. I also have diabetic peripheral neuropathy in the hands and feet, which causes insane levels of pain, and a bad back that makes it worse. I've been taking Temazepam for sleep and an opioid for pain for years. It's helpful, but I was still only sleeping every other night. Recently I've been using cannabis at night. I grow my own indica (Grandaddy Purple), which I infuse into butter. and make cookies and brownies with it. The neighborhood kis keep coming back for more. Just kidding! I'm now sleeping better now than I have in at least 20 years. I still miss a night of sleep now and then, especially on bad pain nights, but overall it's made a world of difference.

I've been smoking for ~40 years. I'll save you a ton of research funds. The answer is yes, it does help sleeping.

I have a smile on my face when I’m falling asleep. It’s a great cozy feeling. And I wake up refreshed. I’m not a daytime vaper.

I’ve personally found that Indica is quite a powerful sleep aid, it induces a sudden fatigue in me that prompts my body and therefore mind into a deep slumber.

Although I feel like I’ve gotten a restful night‘s sleep, there’s something missing from the full experience had I done it sans Marijuana.

It put me to sleep since I first tried it to this day. I'm not a regular smoker (actually very rarely nowadays), but when I do, I can go to sleep whenever I want. When I was young and suffered from anxiety and depression in my late teens I used it to self-medicate and to be able to sleep.

Hey guys, I know nothing about the market and I'm looking to invest, any help? As well who can I reach out to?

Of course it does, and if you suffer from eczema it calms you down to handle it much better. If you have no appetite it will help enhance it. If your nerves feel like they're going to jump out of you it will calm you down. There are many health benefits to it; I just think it should be eaten and not smoked.

I temporarily quit cannabis and my sleep improved. My dreams became very vivid. I started again and my sleep isn't as good and no more dreams.
