I best thing about having learned Russian is that you have seen it all. Nothing is too far from your understanding. Even this seems very simple although I watched the video once and didn't give all of my attention. Russian really combines the hardest concepts in all languages around the world, if you survive that, nothing can stop you, really.

as Portuguese speaker (a highly inflected language) it is so relieving to find out Greek have a lot of familiar grammatical structures

I wish I could understand what the hell was being explained. I barely understood any of that.

For me an English speaker, learning about forth dimension in our three dimensional atmospheric space is far more easy than learning Greek basis grammar rules

One can't get much out of this video without reading a book on grammar. Just thought I'd get a snapshot of what Greek grammar looks like, before beginning a more rigorous approach.

This video has really given me hope learning Greek because it is a map of the language which makes it so much easier to know what exists in general and where to focus my learning. This helps me understand more for example what I am worse at and better at in Greek and also what my next part of improvement could be to practice the language more! Since languages in general are huge it will not be an easy task but all languages are also finite, even Greek. Thanks for this and let’s go!

I was listening to a greek prime minister's speech for a moment and I must say that this language sounds wonderful. Perhaps I would start to learn if the alphabet wasn't so different to the ours.

in ancient times the vocative was not identical and more likely to be different from the nominative even outside of the O declination like the form γύναι for the nominative γυνή (woman or γυναίκα). The reason why nominative and vocative are considered as "direct cases" is another and btw not a very important one^^

This is typical of inflected languages such as German, Latin, biblical Hebrew, and Greek. If it's new to us, it's because languages such as English, French, modern Israeli Hebrew, and Spanish don't rely so much on inflections, even if they have them. Our use of prepositions in English, for example, precludes the necessity of a detailed understanding of inflections for most of us Americans.

Excellent video! It is very clear, breaks down all the important components, provides definitions for each component, and shows their usage. It also has helpful visual aids. Thank you and Bravo for such great work!
