In this video you will learn all the science for this topic to get a grade 9 or A* in your science exams!
Biofuels are biological or biologically produced material. Biofuels are burned and the heat generated heats water to steam. The steam turns a turbine and turns a generator, which generates an electric current. It is a renewable resource, because they are produced at the same rate as they are used.
When biofuels are burned carbon dioxide is produced. The carbon dioxide is then absorbed by other plants used for biofuels, so biofuels are carbon neutral.
When plants used as biofuels are cut down, animal habitats can be destroyed.
We aim for you to get 100% in your exam by revising and learning with KayScience.
