Strays is an imaginative contemporary fairy tale for children that tells the story of a stray dog and a stray cat in their struggle to survive in an inhospitable and hostile environment. The themes of the play have a multi-faceted approach as we also see the efforts of the city authorities to keep the city clean and spotless. Efforts to maintain cleanliness come into conflict with the existence of strays. Everyone understands that a breakthrough is needed in order to provide a solution.

The performance is developed as a comedy. Between the performance parts of the play, theatrical play and educational drama activities are included, thus creating for the young spectators a rich interactive experience that will remain unforgettable.

The pedagogical goals of the show look to the development and promotion of animal welfare and the strengthening of an ecology friendly mindset and behavior through love and respect for all living beings. Hippo Theater Group, continuing the special kind of physical theater that it has invented (kinemo), creates a show with dominant elements of strong physicality, high energy, live music and special kinesiology, offering an exuberant entertainment spectacle.
