Blue Blood and Red Blood

Some people think venous blood is blue and arterial blood is red. Most scientists disagree and say that all human blood is red but the shade of red differs slightly for oxygenated hemoglobin. But what does the chemical evidence say?

For the comment section, you can clearly see at 0:19 that the same swoop of knife makes both blue and red so the "dye" explanations are completely incorrect.

To the claims stating that he "cut himself over a YouTube video", let me educate you real quick. He used a concoction (dye) and applied it with a butter knife to demonstrate the appearance of venous and arterial blood. Nowhere did he state that he actually cut himself, and nowhere did this anticipate self harm. You don't draw blood with a butter knife that easily.

Blue blood isn't a thing, unless your blood is a copper based blood like molusc or squids

I may have misunderstood the video but all blood is red. The reason veins look blue or green is because blue and green light is the only colors strong enough to penetrate through the skin and reflect the veins. The only possible way that blood could be blue is excess copper while normal blood is red because of iron.
