If you look really closely there's actually a band playing in the background

December 1979
At The Forum, Fleetwood Mac plays "Tusk" in the middle of the set. Who joins them on stage?
Yes, the marching band. The crowd cheers. Very cool.
(I may be old, but I saw all the cool bands).

Marching bands are so underrated.
These kids gave a great show.

Saw the USC band play this in the mid-80s when they played at Notre Dame stadium. My dearly departed husband took me to watch the USC v ND game. Wow! What a show. We were in the stands right by the band. It was an awesome time. I remember how cool it was that the whole band wore sunglasses while they played this. And yes, Notre Dame won!!!

Love Tusk since it first came out, and appreciate USC holding this special legacy. The performances are stronger through positive showmanship over the little jabs at other schools - yet this band and Song squad are still among the best!

“Tusk” was a gift to the world...but it looks like it was also a gift to the USC Marching Band! The band helped turned a good song into a great one, and it’s good to see that they still embrace it.

Now this is a battle of the bands. Music that actually sounds good, lots of vibing, and a jab at your rival.

Well done USC.

I’ll never forget the Fleetwood Mac concert at the Hollywood Bowl with the USC marching band up there on stage when they did Tusk. Freaking amazing! Good times.

Far out!!!! So good!!! I was a kid when I saw a thing on television about the making of Tusk, The marching band and stuff… My dad was kinda like oh that’s dumb… Years later I’d look this song up and it’s become one of my favorites and to see a marching band doing it justice like this… It’s just come full circle

Very familiar with TUSK, first time for me to hear the additional lyrics..."ucla sucks", awesome, the song takes on a whole new bonus level of awesomeness!!!

Strange, I just now realized I'm in love with USC cheerleaders. They look like they're really, really smart, and kind. You can tell the depth of their character just by watching them perform. CEO, MD, & POTUS material, all of them. I'll bet they all volunteer at homeless shelters, food banks, and rescue stray dogs and wounded sea turtles continually. You can tell just by looking at them.

So weird to think that when Tusk was recorded none of these kids was born yet.
