How Liverpool Just DESTROYED Man United

The first real heavyweight tussle of the season saw Liverpool head to Old Trafford on Sunday. After a tense opening, it was Arne Slot's team who began to assert dominance and, by the end, Man United were lucky to get away with the 0-3.

But how can one side only 3 games into a manager's reign look so much more structured and dangerous than one entering their 3rd season. Adam Clery picks apart Liverpool's first half to explain why.

🏃 Hello! As mentioned, I'm doing the Great North Run in September to raise money for Mind. They provide vital mental health services in the UK, and I can personally attest to him important that can be for people. A small amount goes way further than you might think, so any donations are enormously appreciated. Thank you

If you pause at 12:00 when you're talking about the first goal, you can see Jota directing the attack, asking for an overhead pass behind him towards Diaz, while he keeps the 3 opposition players focused on him

Szobo is so beautifully underrated what a baller

I've been playing or watching football my entire life, and I am utterly stumped. How Slott was able to coordinate a style of play around players' individual abilities so seamlessly is utterly beyond me. Another thing that surprises me is the blatant physicality of each player individually. It was shocking to see MU players getting thrown off the ball so easily. As an LFC fan, I don't want to get too optimistic, but I get this feeling that Slott's got more than a couple of other tricks up his sleeves. I feel that he's got a particular strategy for any given team selection. I'm completely mesmerised and befuddled. Great analysis, BTW!

I think Slot has made it very simple and easy for players to understand

Slot used Gravenberch in two ways. To put pressure on United's build up and use him as a cheat code to bypass United's pressing structure. His role would prove pivotal in enabling the foundations for Liverpool's victory.

It's only after seeing the heat map in this video did I realize Slot has turned Szoboszlai into Liverpool's own De Bruyne. 2 assists in 3 games already, he's far surpassed his assist rate in his previous season at the same stage.

It’s funny how people said that Liverpool will collapse after Klopp leaving since it’s ‘impossible’ to hire someone that good after him, meaning the job following Klopp is extremely hard. Now the same people yelling that Slot is doing what is expected from him since he inherited a good team😂😂😂😂

Loved the way Arnie explained, in detail in his pitch side interview, exactly how he took Man Ure apart. It was so casual. All you have to do is this and this. It was like hearing someone explain a magic trick.

One of your best ever vids. You’re so spot on at breaking down the tactics whilst explaining the context.

Should've covered the Trent goal that was ruled out for offside. It was offside, but just another example of how Liverpool had figured out how to play through and around that high press from very early

I am a manchester united fan and it was difficulte for me to witness all of those scenes coming from this match but it is always good to understand what really happened, thank you.

As a Feyenoord fan, you are correct. We miss Slot very much. In your analisys you clearly see how simple football can be, with the right players! We in Rotterdam called it Slot's Fire zone. Just outside of the box. I beleive you call it the Danger zone. Slot isn't affraid to conceid a goal. In every match this can happen, no matter how good you are. His philosophy is to overflow the region just outside the box. And if this fails the team knows to overfow another part of the field. That's why you see a 3 man defence against a 3 man attacking group. And thats why you see the forewards scoring. Some say Salah should be at Liverpool for another 5 years. I disagree. He played fantastic but it was made possible thanks to the rest of the team.

From a United fan but have to say that is brilliant analysis yet again from Adam Cleary. I am convinced that you do better analysis in 10 mins than Ten Hag and the hole of his back room staff do all season!! Please can some just post this to Manchester United and show them how a proper football team works!

OK, that was excellent, but I need an episode where we decide which PL team needs Baron Harkonnen as their manager.
