I do not have the option for Citrix reseiver in choose an app box as shown in your clip at 6:11. All I have as options are Photos, Paint, and 3D Paint.
How do I get the citrix Receiver to show in that "Choose an app" box

Thank you. This worked perfectly. Associating ".ica" files to the "Citrix Connection Manager" is key. My ".ica" files were associated with the "Citrix Workspace Application" by default and that's why it did not work.

Worked finally, I've been trying for months to remote into the office ! But I had to save the .ica then openwith wfcrun32 (always use etc) then 2nd run bingo I'm in - thanks a lot.

so I have a question what could make citrix not be active and still grayed out and apps want open in citrix

HI Kevni,
I tried this for a user and it worked for a while, then they called me back later complaining of the same thing. This time though Citrix returned "could not load the error message" response. I tried to set a different default program for the ICA file and then set it back to Citrix Connection Manager but same result. What can I try next? Is there an error log file somewhere that I can look at?
