Dr. Elvira Lang is an UCSD-trained interventional radiologist, former associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, and is a pioneer and leading world expert in the use of hypnosis during medical procedures. She is also the founder of Hypnalgesics, LLC, which trains medical teams in rapid rapport and quick hypnotic techniques. In 2009, Dr. Lang co-authored Patient Sedation without Medication, a comprehensive resource guide for healthcare professionals interested in rapid rapport building and nonpharmaceutical anxiolysis and analgesia. Dr. Lang has dedicated her career to improving the experience of patients having medical procedures and we are excited to have the opportunity to have her speak about this interesting field.
