Glenwood Canyon Colorado Complete Scenic Drive 4K

Complete scenic drive in both directions through Glenwood Canyon in western Colorado on I-70. We begin heading westbound through the canyon to the city of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, then turn around and drive eastbound through the canyon and end in the town of Dotsero, Colorado. Glenwood Canyon is nicknamed the Crown Jewel of the Interstate System, and is one of the most beautiful stretches of highway in the United States.

This scenic drive was recorded in late May.

Well done video on this fabulous stretch of highway. It's an astounding feat of engineering, this drive. When going eastbound you really see that the westbound lanes are really a large set of land bridges. But the cool thing is that you get to enjoy both the highway and its great design, and the gorgeous scenery with plenty of time for both.

This one is still on my bucket list. But I have travelled the Virgin River Canyon via I-15 in both directions and it's also a great blend of engineering and natural beauty. Add in the Pat Tillman bridge at Hoover Dam and you've got an epic trifecta of remarkable western US freeways.
