As someone who has bad apples in their family. I feel so bad for Castro’s brothers, mother, and his other kids. Of course it’s nothing compared to what the victims went through. but imagine your life getting ruined because you have a monster in your family and everyone thinks you’re the monster too and it effects your job and future. For those saying they should have known, they didn’t see him or visited often. And I’m sure if your brother told you to not go upstairs because it’s messy I’m sure you wouldn’t think he was keeping any girls up there.

I'm sorry those women went through that. I don't even consider the rescue a happy ending after all that. I believe his brothers are telling the truth. I feel for them as well. Being arrested for a crime you didn't comment and being related him is awful.

Quick fact: Michelle’s mom was actually looking for her and put up missing person flyers when she first went missing but after a while, knowing Michelle wasn’t living the best life, she thought that maybe she had run away so she just let it be. So for the people saying that Michelle didn’t have anyone waiting for her, you’re not fully right because she did in the beginning.

I just finished reading the two books one by Michelle the other by Gina and Amanda its unreal what they had to live through he was a monster forsure!!! Both great books w alot of information from the girls on what went on inside that house for those long years they endured so much abuse...

As someone with family and ties to the Cleveland Lorain area, Id like to state that i live in the South. I actually have a coworker who grew up with Gina De Jesus, worked with Amandas mom, and even knew the Kidnapper's family and kids from school. My own family went to school with Amanda and Gina and also knew the Castros. So many people were affected by this
