"Big Time" was another song off of this album that gets forgotten about.

Also, "In Your Eyes" Live (Secret World) is pretty freakin amazing. And you may be familiar with the studio version of the song because it's been featured in a few movies and TV shows.
*And, as I understand it, "live" videos are less likely to be blocked?

As others have said, 'In Your Eyes, from the Secret World tour will really open your mind to Peter Gabriel. I also like 'Digging In The Dirt'.

"Red Rain" is definitely a song by him to go to. Much more dramatic, but his wailing voice in that song is so powerful.

Peter does have a soulful voice. He was the lead singer of the progressive rock band Genesis in the 70s with Phil Collins as their drummer. Some of his solo stuff you should hear: "In Your Eyes", "Shock the Monkey" and "Games Without Frontiers ".

The first song I heard from Peter Gabriel was "Shock The Monkey"-1982 on MTV. Another funk based song to watch is the music video "Big Time"-1987 it is pretty cool and funny.

I love Peter Gabriel when he goes all visual sideways like his video for SHOCK THE MONKEY or DIGGING IN THE DIRT. But his quiet moments are great too.
BIKO, IN YOUR EYES and GAMES WITHOUT FRONTIERS are excellent tales from this very creative man.

Peter is sometimes put in the "Art Rock" category, or "Progressive", and ha was the singer for Genesis before Phil Collins. Peter is his own genre, and he has so many amazing songs. Washing of the Water, Blood of Eden, Salisbury Hill, I Grieve, Mercy Street... it just goes on and on.

"Digging in the Dirt" is an emotionally intense song by Peter. He can joke and be sarcastic or be serious with his lyrics. I've been into Peter over 45yrs love the guy. "Speak" is another great song.
