That's useful tech. I've seen similar done in compact cameras for over 20 years. I think Minolta did it back then.

90 degree idea is so cool ! I guess this is the next big thing for cameras as it allows more space for lenses. Not sure about the tradeoffs though.

Seems to be a lot better implemented than Asus' version of this technology, but I'd rather just have a good prime lens with a larger sensor like on the Lumia 1020 than a compromised zoom solution

zoom is one of the best smartphone features of recent times for me. Vacation photos are better than ever. (admittedly now I only have 2x optical zoom, but it's still an incredible advantage if the zoo is missing. And just as I was slowly considering buying an SLR, it does not make much sense now.

I really like the idea. I have a V20 for now and plan to stick with it for the time being. I think I'll give this a look and hope that other manufacturers decide to license and use the tech in the future (especially LG).

the shutter time and the lens variation are the keys parts why i use a DSLR. I don't thinks smartphones will replace that anytime soon
