PSDT needs to be rested. He has taken a few big hits recently. He is only a human after all.

I believe we've won 16 of the last 18 only losing to Ireland (twice). I saw the stat on the Breakdown feel free to correct me. We smashed NZ just before the WC and beat them in the final so we are on a serious high. I don't think we've realized how good this team is. As for bleeding new players mix in 2 or 3 a game with the double world cup winners and we'll be fine for 2027.

Sacha needs as much time as possible at 10 - he is the future.

No one should be rested there’s a break after this test. Pick your best team throughout TRC.

There is space for bringing in some young blood in this test and Im sure Rassie will use it. Just hope its 1 or 2 changes instead of a whole lot. Still cant underestimate Oz in their back yard

I think winning the TRC this year trumps resting to many players at this early stage of the competition. Away victories are like gold dust, take them with open arms if you have the opportunity.

This i period of rugby that we enjoy is, 'The Time of the Springbok'. Your strength in depth is awesome, your skill-sets are superb; enhanced by the new rules which allows your magnificent backs freedom to show-case their abilities to the full and the legendary power and controlled aggression is a pleasue to witness. I feel sure that you will win the 2027 RWC. For us, we will never give up fighting, We may be few, but we can punch hard for all that. To get our RWC 1/4 final place hoo-doo gone will be a goal achieved. Once done and with God's will we may one day meet in a RWC Final. Until such time, we respect you and God bless us all. From an old half Cornish- half Irish supporter🏴‍☠☘🤟.

Don't think we must make too much of our win against Australia. We have not won anything yet. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I predict Australia will not win a single game in the tournament. Beating the All Blacks (anywhere) will be tough, especially if we underestimate them. Same applies the Pumas on current form.

Thanks Brendan. I was watching some of the old videos here on your channel when Coetzee was still coach. Those were dark days...

While Willemse is still out, would absolutely love to Sacha at 15 and Manie at 10 this weekend. With Willie on the bench…. Could be a dangerous combination

Not dropped. Rotated.

We must rotate a lot.
(Noones getting dropped)

Jan-Hendrik Wessels from the bench and Makazole Mapimpi to start as a rotation policy.

RG Snyman in, BJD in at 7, PsdT on bench or rested. Maybe start Williams and Reinach on bench...

With the "momentum" having been secured in the first test, the Boks, I think, will make plenty of changes for the second test, because the "youngsters" need to get game time (especially against the not-so-crack Aussies) as most of the "big guns" will need to be "saved" for the two tests against the ABs. Hence I won't be surprised to see the following team:

Quan Horn
Mapimpi
Esterhuizen
Am
Fassi
Pollard
Faf

Steenekamp
Grobbelaar
Du Toit
Kolisi
Moerat
RG
Marco
Elrich

Bench:

Vd Berg
Libbok
Sacha
Wessels
Marx
Koch
P-Stef
Dixon

Biggest risk for me is at 13. If Kriel gets injured this week, our current number 2 is Am who would’ve played 80min against Portugal for 4 months since his injury in May. And then to straight to play ABs? Big risk.

I think we should expect them to do an Irish on us in this 2nd match. Busted knees, collar bones, dislocated shoulders, gashed scalps..

• Priorities ALWAYS determine, BN
And in this instance, is it a win or blooding the young ones, hey?
Trying new combinations and causing additional excitement to last week with ‘the unexpected’ perhaps⁉️

Think Rassie et cie are in a very favourable position
Joe is building
He also has some ‘old dogs’ coming back
Thus, a quite fluid position all round

One gets the feeling Rassie is going to go for the young ones in another round
• PSDT needs a break, RG should’nt play if he is’nt 100%
same with Bongi
They are much too important, valuable to put at risk unnecessarily

Whatever the priorities,
the Game is going to be helluva exciting
Hopefully Sacha gets another start
and Willie is on song
Most certainly Jessé needs to be on the park, Damien as well
and Handré hovering close by

So, its going to be very interesting to see what Rassie’s priorities really are, for the moment❓

Looking forward to the occasion immensely
Thanks kindly for your work ~ it goes places
